Tom and Jerry is a traditional Wisconsin beverage served during Christmas time. I just had it yesterday for the first time and is SO delicious I just had to share the recipe!
Merry Christmas everyone!
1 cup milk
pinch of ground nutmeg
5 tsp brandy
2.5 tsp confectioners sugar
1/2 of an egg white from an egg
1/2 of an egg yolk
OR just go buy the pre-made batter!!!
Boil water and once it’s boiling pour 3/4 of your cup full.
3/4 of a shot of spiced rum.
3/4 of a shot of brandy.
Add a heaping spoonful of Tom & Jerry batter into your cup.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Allow it to sit for minute or two and then stir the batter into the water/brandy/rum mix and enjoy!

**Don't forget to hug your mom**
Step 1: Start with some good 'ol store bought pie crust and pie filling your momma made
Step 2: Open up the box of pie crust and get your pie pan ready
Step 3: Unroll the top pie crust
Step 4: Put in that yummy pie filling that you enjoyed watching being made but didn't actually lift a finger making
Step 5: Pour in the pie filling and give it a good 'ol shake shake shake
Step 6: Spread the filling around a little bit don't strain yourself
Step 7: Roll out the top pie crust
Step 8: Squish the top crust with the bottom so you have some smushy edges
Step 9: Use what you have to cut out a little design for your crust...if you do this out of order, like I did, just kinda wing it and pray it turns out
Step 10: Gently place it in the oven at 425 degrees for 45-50 minutes
Wait until it's not piping hot to eat and enjoy with some yummy vanilla ice cream or with cheese on top if you're from Wisconsin!
Coconut brownie energy bites! A healthy option this time of year...just snazz it up, like I did, with Christmas cup liners and you are ready for any holiday party!
1 cup dates - pitted
1/2 cup walnuts - raw
1/2 cup almonds - raw
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tblsp water
1-1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup coconut flakes
Combine ingredients together, except for coconut flakes, in food processor. Use a small cookie scoop, if you have one, and form into bell shape. Dip top in coconut flakes and place in Christmas paper cup liner.
Makes about 16
We cut down our Christmas tree on Saturday and got this awesome tree that had a ton of boughs we wouldn’t be needing. So I decided to make a wreath for our front door.
I started by cutting the boughs down to size and aligning them into a circular shape so I could start wiring them together.
I wired each bough to another one to help stabilize the wreath into the shape I wanted.
Then I added more boughs until I had the basic circular shape I was looking for.
I continued adding more boughs, but smaller now to cover the middle areas that didn’t look great. I made sure to attach the wire to more than one bough to help provide additional stability since the wreath would be heavy with all those boughs.
Next I trimmed the excess off of the boughs so it would look like a nice circle.
Now I have this super full wreath just waiting to be decorated!
Next I added wiring to make a hook for the wreath to hang from when it’s on our front door.
Now for my favorite part, the decorating! Either just grab what extra holiday supplies you have laying around or make a pit stop to your favorite craft store and pick out a variety of decor to add to your wreath. Being a lover of Christmas, I had left over stuff to use up!
Make a few bows!
Drape some ribbon!
Add some colorful Christmas decor and you are good to go! Hang up and enjoy!
I just love being creative and trying to make things that are fun, different and beautiful! I don’t like just buying something at the store, I would rather customize it to the style of my fiancé and I!
I created this blog to share the ideas and projects I have completed and show you some super simple ways to make something beautiful for your home without spending an arm and a leg!
I also will share recipes on here that are my favorite and anything else that happens to come up that I think may be of interest to people...like how to make your own picture frame or jewelry...stuff like that!
Welcome to a little bit of creative heaven!
